Vegan Bakesale

Vegan Bakesale This Saturday, January 30th to show love to the people of Haiti. Lots of vegan baked goods, including sweet treats from Dulce Vegan, with all proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders. Checks will be accepted as well as cash. Checks should be made payable to Doctors Without Borders USA.

Shop Update

Hi all!

Just a quick update. We have had more than our share of unexpected construction delays and delays with the city. There are a few more administrative hurdles in front of us but we are finally in the home stretch! We are very excited and can't wait to open our doors! Check back for more updates in the next week.

Construction update!

Hey friends, we wanted to post a quick construction update for all of you who have been patiently waiting. Construction on the new space is coming along well, but it looks like we won't quite be ready to open by the beginning of August. Never fear, however, as we will be open very soon--no matter how many cupcake bribes we have to make! In the meantime, our garden is growing like mad and we are excited that our customers will have such a beautiful courtyard to enjoy along with our delicious treats. Organic Garden!

One of the great things about having our new bakery is that we are also going to have our very own organic vegetable and herb garden! We made big strides yesterday towards installing our beds and getting things growing. Many thanks to all the great folks over at Farmer D Organics who got us going and answered all of our questions! If you haven't been over to their store at 2154 Briarcliff Rd, go soon! They have a great selection of organic plants, seeds, compost, and even vegan fertilizer.

Yesterday we planted a lot of awesome veggies, including three types of heirloom tomatoes, some peppers, squash, and zucchini. We also got a start on our herbs and accented the beds with edible marigolds. We will also be growing a number of vegetables and melons from seeds, so very soon our garden will be full of growing plants!

We will post more photos of our garden as things start to sprout and grow. We will also continue to post updates on the store as our opening gets closer, so stay tuned!

Indie Craft Experience May 30 & 31, 2009

It's almost time for Summer ICE 2009!  ICE is always the biggest and best handmade crafts fair in Atlanta, if not the entire Southeast, and it's Dulce Vegan's favorite festival.  Come and join us in Centennial Olympic Park for two fun filled days of indie crafts, music, and scrumptious vegan goodies.  In addition to our yummy vegan sweets, we will have a selection of soy free, gluten free and raw treats--all 100% vegan.

This year ICE will be held on May 30 & 31 from 11 AM to 7 PM.
